First off, we must say a big thanks to this customer and his buddy for waiting a long time before we could work on their car as we had another car in progress. The 1st gen Proton Satria is still a pretty good looking car, and this customer had multiple modifications to his car already, however he was missing a head unit. Upon closer inspection, we discovered the stereo harness was cutoff, stereo thief style.

Instead of just wiring the JVC straight to the cut wires, we decided to reconnect a factory equivalent harness as the wires were already so short. Another benefit of getting the factory plugs back in is that future head unit upgrades would certainly be made easier. Overall it took more time to work on this, but the Proton Satria is not a difficult car to work on which is always a big plus.
